                GIVING REINS LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Leaderships internships are available for youth 15-22 years old to assume leadership responsibilities in different areas  of operations at Penny Lane Foal Rescue. While this is an unpaid training program designed for high school students through young adults, participants will gain projects based learning, valuable volunteer work experience, build an electronic portfolio for future employment opportunities, acquire professional references, and explore their passions and career interests in a supportive and fun environment.

Leadership internships can be projects-based or experiential in areas of youth development, facilities management, horse behavior and foundation skills training, and in sustainable agriculture with our Regenerative Gardening program. Internships can be as short as 6-8 weeks to complete a project or year-long. A minimum commitment of two hours, twice weekly, will be expected and a minimum commitment of three times per week will be required to assist with providing foundation skills for our rescues.

Interested youth and young adults are encouraged to reach out directly to us to arrange a tour and initial interview.
