Policies

Cancellation Policy:

It is very important to keep your lesson appointments each week. Your lesson fees directly support the care of our foals and horses, and consistency is needed to maintain skills and relationships with your equine training partners. 

 

Attempts will be made to reschedule your lesson that same week, when possible, although a missed lesson is considered a donation to the rescue. Lesson packages are every four consecutive weeks, including missed lessons.

Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy:

Our Horse Leaders train year round, in all weather conditions, because our equines live outside and it's important that youth build resilience for weather changes. It's very important to dress appropriately for all types of weather. Lessons are rarely postponed or cancelled.​

​Personal Safety:

A safety helmet MUST be worn at all times.

Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather conditions to include:

• jackets or vests with room to move arms freely

• jeans

• closed-toed shoes such as heavy leather boots or hiking boots

   (athletic and open-toed shoes are not safe for lessons with horses)

Waitlist:

Due to the limited number of participants that can be accommodated in the Horse Leadership Program, interested persons may be placed on a waitlist until space becomes available.
