KRISHNA

Krishna came to us as a two day old orphaned Mustang from the Navajo Nation. She survived a brutal attack from a stallion shortly following her birth. She was initially blinded in her left eye, the skin along her spine had been torn, and she suffered from an enormous umbilical hernia. Her volunteer Wound Care Team of caring individual from throughout our community helped hold and soothe her while her wounds were thoroughly cleaned and dressed. After months of intensive care, Krishna healed from her spine injuries, her umbilical hernia finally closed, and she regained her sight in her left eye.

King's rehabilitation took 1000 volunteer hours and thousands of dollars in wound care treatment. She is now a very healthy, happy coming on three year old mare. She is UTD on vaccinations, trims, and deworming.

Krishna is confident and social! She stands for the farrier, grooming, and haltering. He is easy to halter and lead at the walk. She is a large, coming on 3 years old, Mustang standing at 15 Hands, 800 pounds. Please contact Penny Lane Foal Rescue if you are interested in SPONSORING Krishna.
